Udupi is also known as the temple city, also known as Parashurama Kshetra. is notable for the Krishna Temple established by Shri Madhvacharya, the founder of the Dwaita school of Vedanta. The unique feature of the temple is that one can have darshan of Lord Krishna through the inner window, known as the Navagruha Kindi or Kanakana Kindi,
Pajaka Kshetra, is a small village in Udupi is revered as a very holy place, It is the birth place of Sri Madhvacharya. And here we also see a Vidyapeeta where students learn Vedas and Sanskrit. |
In this modern age of science and technology, there is an urgent need for imparting a strong spiritual foundation focused around the meaning a purpose of human life to prevent rapid deterioration of mankind. Dr. Singh, the founding director of Bhaktivedanta Institue and a pioneer in science-spirituality dialogue, envisioned to have such programs regularly to provide a fertile ground for promoting the interface between science and spirituality. This program is a humble attempt in this direction.
