Thanks to all the participants for making FUSION 2019 a grand success.
Thanks for bearing with us and please do forgive us in case if any inconvenience is caused.
Bhaktivedanta Institute cordially invite you to attend The' FUSION' Annual Conference on ‘Spirituality and Health’ slated on 24th February`2019 at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital Auditorium, Ramaiah Hospital, Bengaluru . We welcome all health care practitioners, scholars, religious community leaders, and students to explore the relationship between spirituality and health to enhance well-being.

The aim of the conference is to promote well-being and enhance quality of life by exploring the relationship between spirituality and health. The present modern culture is leading humanity towards complete materialism. With the fast-paced modern lifestyle, the quality of life is rapidly deteriorating. As a result, there is an alarming increase of mental illness such as anxiety, depression, stress, suicidal tendencies as well as physical illness such as joint and skeletal problems, cardio-vascular diseases, hypertension, overweight, and so on.  We have become dependent on medicines and supplementation rather than healthy natural way of life. Hence there is a great need to reexamine the discrepancy between our current life style and our traditional culture based on the spiritual dimension of life. We need to seek ways to harmonize the modern medical science and the holistic approach of alternative health care systems to address the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the individual for complete well-being. This conference is a humble attempt to bring together professionals, doctors, research scholars and students to network, share ideas, and discover new approaches in synthesizing health science and spirituality for complete well-being.
The highlights of the conference include:
• Insights about Integration of Allopathy, Ayurveda, Energy Medicine and Spirituality
• Poster Presentations with Attractive 1st and 2nd Prizes
• Participation of 300 Students, Professionals and Doctors
Conference Overview

It hosts professionals, research scholars and students to network, share ideas, and discover new approaches in synthesizing science and spirituality. Here you’ll have access to the gathering of people who you can relate to, learn from, and actively contribute towards the holistic approach  in all fields of learning in art, science, philosophy, physics, chemistry, psychology, economics, politics, etc. in the quest for ultimate reality.

The 2019 Conference on ‘Spirituality and Health’ invites health care practitioners, scholars, religious community leaders, and students to exchange ideas about the relationship of spirituality with quality of life and well being from a scientific perspective.

For most of the twentieth century, the physicians approach to health was based on the mechanistic model i.e., health is determined solely by the atoms and molecular constituents that make up the physical body. However, over the past few decades, awareness of a psychosomatic, or mind-body, connection has transformed psychology, medicine and science towards a new perspective addressing the human physical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects. The study of the relationship between religion, spirituality, and health is now an important field of medical research and a growing area of public interest.  Studies show that positive beliefs, comfort, and strength gained from religion, meditation, and prayer can contribute to well being. It may even promote healing. Improving your spiritual health may not cure an illness, but it may help you feel better. It also may prevent some health problems and help you cope better with illness, stress, or death.

Conferences such as this provide a unique opportunity for academics and clinicians in healthcare to share their research findings, clinical practice and emerging ideas.

  • Explore the relationship between spirituality and health to enhance well-being.
  • Recognize the definite role and need for spirituality in preventive health care.
  • Understand the healing technique of non-invasive forms of alternative medicine and correct energy imbalance in the human body by activating the natural healing resources present within.
  • Reflect on ways the modern medicine and  Alternative Medicine can become complimentary with each other for the holistic treatment of patients
  • Learn more about how spirituality, as well as religious belief and practice, is inextricably linked with health, healing, and the body.
 Visionary
Picture
Dr. T. D. Singh, the founding director of Bhaktivedanta Institute and a pioneer in science-spirituality dialogue, envisioned that Bangalore, being the home to many educational and research institutions and therefore fostering the intellectual manpower, is a fertile ground for promoting the interface between science and spirituality. Dr. Singh envisioned that in our search for the Ultimate Reality and answers to some of the most fundamental questions of our existence, the two seemingly different approaches – scientific method and spiritual wisdom needs to join hands. He organized several international and national conferences to stimulate creative thinking in students for a balanced growth of scientific and spiritual advancement and to support outstanding students, scholars and scientists in their pursuit of deeper knowledge. The 2nd Annual Conference “Fusion 2019” is a humble attempt to carry forward this vision of Dr.T.D. Singh.
