Srivilliputhur is one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is the birth place of Mother Andal, one of the 12 Alwar saints known for her devotional poetic works -- Thirupavai and Nachiar Tirumozhi.
The remarkable landmark of Srivilliputhur is 11-tiered tower structure dedicated to the Lord of Srivilliputhur, known as Vatapatrasayee, (Lord Vishnu of the Banyan Leaf).
The Srivilliputhur Andal Temple is a magnificent ode to devotion, history, and architectural brilliance. It is a place where the timeless beauty of Hindu tradition is on full display and where visitors can bask in the serenity and spiritual richness of this unique temple.
In this modern age of science and technology, there is an urgent need for imparting a strong spiritual foundation focused around the meaning a purpose of human life to prevent rapid deterioration of mankind. Dr. Singh, the founding director of Bhaktivedanta Institue and a pioneer in science-spirituality dialogue, envisioned to have such programs regularly to provide a fertile ground for promoting the interface between science and spirituality. This program is a humble attempt in this direction.
By organizing such programs, we wish to highlight the necessity of interaction between science and spirituality for a holistic growth, especially among the younger generation. We have been conducting this program for the past three years at various holy places in south India like, Melukote, Ahobilam, Tirupathi and Kanchipuram, This year we have planned to conduct the same at the holy place of Udupi, Karnataka. We believe that, the serene atmosphere of divinity this venue will be advantageous and inspiring to the participants.
Launching an unique event of this nature requires resources and means that are not available to our organisation. Therefore, we need the shared effort and cooperation of other agents.
To this end, we request individuals/ IT Sectors/ Institutions to contribute with their knowledge, relationship networks and financial support for this higher cause.
