Dr Ramjee Repaka
is presently working as Assistant Professor in the school ofo mechanical, Materials and Energy Engineering at Indian Institute of Technolgoy (IIT) Ropar,Punjab. Prior to joining IIT Ropar he served as Assistant Professor in te department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, Orissa. He received his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University,Kolkata and Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research Interestes in the field of science and spirtuality include bhioheat transfer, origin of life and thermodynamics.
Dr Kalicharan Nayak
Is presently a technical manager at Rolls Royce, India. He leads the thermal and fluid systems design and development of next generation aircraft engines such as LEAP-X and 38TECH-X for C919, A320neo and M170. He received his M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from IISc, Bangalore in 2003 and currently pursuing his doctorate. For his academic and technical excellence he received gold medal in NIT Rourkela, silver medal in IISc, and received two technology excellence awards in GE Aviation. He has several publications in ASME and AIAA journals. His research interests in the field of science and spirituality include origin of life and universe, CFD, gas turbine thermal systems design, and propulsion.
K. Vasudeva Rao
Received his M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India in 1999. While he was at IIT Kanpur, he developed interest in the field of science and religion through a lecture of Dr. T. D. Singh, the Director of the Bhaktivedanta Institute. He worked for Novell Software Development India Limited, Bangalore for over one year as Senior Software Engineer. He then joined Bhaktivedanta Institute, Kolkata in 2000 as a research assistant under Dr. T. D. Singh. Since then he has been serving the institute full-time. Curremtly he is the president of BI, calcucutta and is also an editor of the Institute’s Journal, ‘Savijïänam – Scientific Exploration for a Spiritual Paradigm. His interests include synthesis of science and spirituality, understanding life and universe through Vedanta and science, computer science, mathematics and biology
Prabhakar Ballapalle
Is presently a Staff Engineer at Seagate India. His areas of research and development include video compression, audio compression and speech compression. Before joining LSI he worked as scientist at Central Research Laboratory and contributed in many prestigious indigenous projects like development of Thermal Imager, Remote Surveillance System and Radar Video Transmission System etc. He received his M.Tech in Signal processing from IIT-Kanpur in 2000. He has more than 10 publications and one patent for his credit. His research areas include pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, speech processing, audio processing, video processing etc. He is very actively involved in promoting the discussions on science & spirituality among the student’s community and learned circles. He is also an associate editor of “‘Savijïänam”, Bhativedanta Institute journal, “TattväJiïäsa”, Bhaktivedanta Institute Magazine and the booklet “God, Intelligent design and Fine tuning”. His areas of interest in Science and Spirituality include Bio-feedback and Meditation, Effect of Prayers on Mind and Body, Japa Meditation, Personality Development etc.
Sameer Verlekar
Is presently working as a Manager in Synopsys India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. He has completed his post graduation in the field of Software Systems and received his Masters degree from BITS Pilani. Sameer is currently working in the Security domain and his fields of interest are Networking, Cryptography and Systems programming. He is actively involved in promoting a dialogue between science and spirituality among his fellow members and friends.
